Teaches one and two-rescuer CPR for victims of all ages (including ventilations with a barrier device (pocket mask), bag mask device with and without oxygen, Automated External Defibrillator (AED) use, and foreign body airway obstruction (FBAO).  Expect this course to last at least 4 hours.

Physicians, nurses, paramedics, EMT's, Certified Nursing Assistants, physician assistants, residents, medical/nursing students, aids, and other allied health personnel, respiratory/physical/occupational therapists, lifeguards, BLS Instructor Candidates.

This course teaches CPR and AED use, relief of choking in adults and children, and infant CPR and relief of choking, and use of barrier devices for all ages.  Expect this course to last at least 3.5 hours.


Who takes this course?
Special attention to using the AED for adults and children. Infant module is optional. For those who have a duty to respond to a cardiac emergency because of job responsibilities or regulatory requirements. Examples: Firefighters, police, airline personnel, security guards, lifeguards, fitness instructors/personal trainers, family members of patients at high risk for cardiac arrest and other lay rescuers who may need to respond.

The First Aid course teaches how to manage illness and injuries in the first few minutes until professional help arrives. Course content includes General Principles, Medical Emergencies, Injury Emergencies, and Environmental Emergencies. Optional topics include CPR and AED.  Expect this course to last at least 3 hours


Who takes this course?
For those who have a duty to respond to a first aid or cardiac emergency because of job responsibilities or regulatory requirements. Examples: Healthcare providers in school settings, sports coaches, lifeguards, daycare providers, security guards, airline personnel, camp counselors, school teachers or anyone required to meet OSHA regulations

The First Aid portion teaches how to manage illness and injuries in the first few minutes until professional help arrives. Course content includes General Principles, Medical Emergencies, Injury Emergencies, and Environmental Emergencies. This course is designed for non-healthcare providers and students receive a card good for two years.  Expect this course to last at least 7 hours.

Law enforcement/security, lifeguards, workplace emergency responders, childcare providers, teachers, scouts, airline workers, boat captains, youth counselors, massage therapist, adult day care providers, coaches, conscientious citizens. Meets OSHA, MOSH, and MDE requirements.

Course Description                                                                                                                                                                      Cost:  $100.00                                              The Heartsaver Pediatric First Aid CPR AED Course is designed to meet the regulatory requirements for child care workers in all 50 U.S. states. It teaches child care providers and others to respond to illnesses and injuries in a child or infant in the first few minutes until professional help arrives.

The course covers child/infant CPR, child/infant AED, child/infant choking, and pediatric first aid. Adult modules in CPR, AED and choking are optional.

Heartsaver Bloodborne Pathogens was designed specifically for workers with a reasonable chance of coming into contact with blood or blood-containing materials.
